Hi Johnny,
Although Christianity is based on the Bible and God's program has been to work through the Nation of Israel, Christianity is not actually a sect of Judaism. Christians in this age are not subject to the OT law which was given to Israel. Jesus was a Jew, but He is the Savior of all the world and Christians do not consider themselves to have come from Judaism, but from Jesus Christ. Judaism rejected Christ.
Some of course would not agree with this and say because Jesus was a Jew and the first Christians were all Jews, that we are a sect of Judaism.... However, there is little in Christianity that came from Judaism our Founder was Jesus Christ and the local church is totally a new institution in the world..
