Luke 4:17-19
17 And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,
18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
Luke 4:4, 8, 12
4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written,. . .
8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written. . .

I'm only following in Christ's examle. But of course, the world doesn't like this position because it goes against the tolerant, politically correct, feel-good ethic that pollutes society today. I'd rather be a thumper than an apostatate.
So to the people who's intellectual fortitude can only ammount to calling me and others like me a "bible-thumper," I'll just thank you. I will use the Bible as the standard for which I live and correct error. I will live by it and it alone. I'll proudly be called a Bible-thumper for standing up for God's word.
