If I gave out my e-mail address, I'd probably get a substantial number of flames for this. I too resisted the idea until I found the great number of geocentric refrences in the King James Bible. The heliocentric theory became popular inspite of the fact that there was no evidence supporting it. All the facts point toward the non-moving earth being specially created. Please don't dismiss the idea because it is different from the preconceived notions that have been taught to you. There is real science to support this idea, as shown in the links bellow. I ask that you read what's on them before you dismiss the position alltogether.
And don’t say "We know that the Earth revolves around the Sun." How do you "know" that? Do you "know" it because you have examined all the evidence, or because that’s what you’ve been told since the first day of school? There is no proof that the Earth revolves around the Sun, and tons of proof that the Earth is stationary. But it doesn’t matter where the evidence lies, if you repeat a lie long enough, people will think it’s true.
www.geocentricity.com/ - Most scientific and doctrinally sound website on the subject I have found so far. Read old issues of "Biblical Astronomer" online.
www.mbowden.surf3.net/Geocexpl.htm - Malcolm Bowden details the basic scientific and biblical arguments in support of geocentricity.
www.fixedearth.com/ - Informative and scientific website that exposes heilocentrism's origins in Kabala and paganism. Some dangerous theology, so be discerning.
www.geocentric-universe.com/ - "This is a website dedicated to the glory of God, and seeks to confirm scientifically the instruction and authority of the Holy Bible. In particular, we aim to destroy the heliocentric cosmology and evolutionary cosmogony that now pervades not only all of western educational establishments, but also throughout much of the Earth." Many good and informative articles.
users2.ev1.net/~origins/menu-helio.htm - Pagan/Catholic website with dangerous theology, but many good articles.
