must admit that I get rather weary whenever I hear people say this, because what they're really saying is "I believe in Jesus but I refuse to completly comit myself to him."
The Bible tells us in Rev 3:19 to "...be zealous therefore, and repent."
And in Mark 12:30, we are told to "...love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this [is] the first commandment."
People who say this are the ones who think that God will let them slip by with their half-hearted attempts. They think that by showing up to Church once in a while and manage to saty awake. They'll occasionally read the Bible and pray if they feel like it, and they are generally apathetic towards spiritual things, but they love their wordly television and music.
Most haven't repented, some have, but all are not doing all they can for God.
Bottom line, if you're not doing all you can, or if you display any apathy at all towards spiritual things, you need to get right with God.
1) Pray daily. 2) Read the Bible daily 3) Go to a good, Bible believing Church 4) Don't be apathetic towards spiritual matters 5) Have fellowship with other believers 6) Turn away from wickid, worldy things that oppose Biblical principles 7) Win others to Christ
Remember, God has no tolerance for the indifferent.
Revelation 3:16 "So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth." (KJV)
