People assume that by criticizing them you are trying to force your views on them. This accusation is faulty because you are not forcing them to not follow their current views, but simply correcting their errors (2 Tim. 2:24–26). If the argument were true, you could say that they were forcing their views on you by criticizing your criticism of them. You're not forcing them to do anything, just exercising your God-given right to free speech.
