We are to interpret the Bible in it's plain sense, that is literal were it is meant to be read literally, and figurative where it is meant to be taken figurativly. We must look at a verse or passage in relation to the rest of scripture to know how it must be interpreted. It is not a matter of our own personal opinions as some theological liberals would have you believe.
